Do you want to read all the WhatsApp messages of your friend but without asking them for it? Well, you can do it by just borrowing their phone for 2 minutes. You don’t even need to have WhatsApp unlocked. Just follow below steps and you’ll be able to replicate your friend’s WhatsApp messages in your WhatsApp:

1. Connect your friend’s phone to your laptop via USB cable
2. Go to WhatsApp >> Databases folder
3. You’ll find two files there. Namely: msgstore-yyyy..dd..db.crypt and msgstore.db.crypt. Copy these files to your laptop
4. Now, uninstall WhatsApp from your phone, navigate to same WhatsApp >> Databases folder in your phone and overwrite/replace these same files with your friend’s file. Make sure to check if file name are same or change friend’s database file names to your phone’s database files name
5. Now, install WhatsApp, it will ask you to verify number and then prompt that a backup found and can be restored. Restore it and you’ll actually restore your friend’s WhatsApp messages in your own WhatsApp.
